How to keep an 18 foot by 4 foot vinyl pool clear?
I have an 18 foot by 4 foot vinyl pool, and I am having problems keeping it clear. I also can not detect any cholorine in the pool, using the test kit with the drops. I put a 1 inch chlorine tablet in the filter and leave my pump running 24/7. I also have a cholorine floater and I currently have about 7-8 1 inch tablets in that. There is a faint trace smell of chlorine while swimming and it burns your eyes. What do I need to do? It is clean, I actually shocked it on Sunday and put Algacide into it.
Seems like you are doing all the right things. Maybe you should have your water tested. Another thought would be to go into a local center for pool supplies and/or sales and ask questions. I livei n Philadelphia suburbs and the people at my local Namco store have been quite helpful.
